Ignighter in the Huffington Post

The multi-talented Christine Hassler - the host of Twenty Something Yak -  also has an advice column in the Huffington Post. Today she tackled the question of a troubled Atlanta reader trying to decide if it’s cool or not to try online dating. I provided a little “expert” quote to help ‘Online Dating-Phobic, 26′ answer her conundrum.  Check it out here.

Friday Fun Interactive Post - The Sausage Party for Girls

This is the first in our new series of Friday Fun Interactive Posts where we ask for reader feedback on a variety of topics.
Today’s inaugural topic is the Sausage Party.

Everybody knows that when a group of guys get together it’s affectionately called a “Sausage Party”. This is so widely used that it has become a generally understood term in young society’s lexicon. In today’s gender equal world, however, it seems troubling that there is no widely accepted term for the female equivalent.

For years I’ve been using the self-coined phrase, “Chilean Sea Bash”, but this tends to be met with a confused reaction more than one of immediate understanding.

So now I’m opening up the floor to you, kind readers. Do you have a term that you and your friends typically use to describe a party of only (or mostly) women? If not, can you think of a good one?

Leave responses in the comments.

**Please remember that this is a company blog so I encourage you to use discretion and try to make your responses appropriate. Thanks!**

Developers - Check out Boulder

We came out from New York City in May to spend the summer at TechStars in Boulder. We’d been told by everybody we spoke to that Boulder is a beautiful town with an extremely high quality of life. And this was absolutely true.

But what we didn’t know was how great the startup community is. The city is teeming with excitement as tons of creative, impressive entrepreneurs and investors collaborate to create something bigger than themselves.

With the explosive growth happening here, there is a need for developer talent and 20 Boulder-based startups are pooling their resources to bring 100 developers out for recruitment. More details in this TechCrunch article. If you’re a developer, I’d strongly encourage you to check this out.

Ignighter Guys in SF

ggbridge

Starting tomorrow (Monday 9/22) us Ignighter guys will be in San Francisco for the week. Drop us a line if you’re a) in town and want to get together, b) have some must-do things in SF that the average tourist wouldn’t know about, or c) you can tell us how to get to the Full House…house (Kevin is a die-hard Dave Coulier fan).
